NEIGHBOURING AREAS

Rosetown has recently undertaken the development of a strategic plan to ensure that the needs of residents are met, while attracting new people and business investment to the area. Protecting community and family values remain central to the plan, while increasing opportunities for enhancing multiculturalism, eco-friendly infrastructure and service availability. Service expansion has occurred in the area of medical care in recent years. A long-term care project is underway, additional funding for assisted living services have been secured and new physicians have been recruited to provide services to residents.

As major employers in the area face demand for workers, they have recruited some internationally skilled workers. These individuals and their families have begun to settle in Rosetown. Retention of skilled workers to build a multicultural base and overall population growth will be important to the community’s future plans. Education facilities are available, including two schools, a library and regional college. Growth of services like this, along with retail and a variety of recreation options will be key to ensuring people will make Rosetown their long term home.
